Job Summary
The Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center (SCoBIRC) at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, or PROFESSOR level. Extramural funding is expected but not required.
As a part of the long-standing commitment of the University and the Commonwealth of Kentucky to translationally oriented traumatic brain and spinal cord injury research, SCoBIRC offers a wealth of resources for neurotrauma research. Competitive startup funding, salary support, and state-of-the-art facilities are available.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program focused on neurotrauma. This program should complement and extend the current expertise within the Center.
We are particularly interested in candidates whose research introduces new areas of study or approaches and methods that will enhance the Center's established strengths in preclinical traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury research. This includes individuals involved in both mechanistic and translational research.
Interested individuals should submit a statement of research interests (Cover Letter), curriculum vita, and the names of three references (Specific Requests 1). Application review will begin immediately, and the search will remain open until the position is filled.
