Job description

The Brain Injury Association of America - Tennessee Chapter is hiring a Service Coordinator to support individuals and families affected by traumatic brain injury. This role centers on connecting people to critical services, providing reliable information, and helping them navigate complex systems with confidence. This position covers Nashville area counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson. Candidates must reside in Tennessee, with a strong preference for Middle Tennessee.
You will work with survivors, caregivers, and professionals while also supporting outreach and community awareness efforts across the region.
About Our Work in Brain Injury Advocacy
As the voice of brain injury, we improve the quality of life of people affected by brain injury across their lifespan through advancing prevention, awareness, research, treatment, education, and advocacy.
Core Responsibilities of the Service Coordinator
This role blends direct service coordination, outreach, and resource development.
  • Provide individualized guidance and resource navigation
  • Build and maintain provider and community partnerships
  • Support outreach, education, and awareness initiatives
  • Assist with reporting, tracking trends, and program improvements
  • Help individuals access services, benefits, and available supports

Qualifications for Success in This Role
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently in a remote environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
Experience in social services, healthcare, counseling, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor's degree and CBIS certification (or eligibility) are also preferred.
