About the Role
Education Management LMS is seeking a reliable and motivated Entry Level Maintenance Technician to support two preschool facilities. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.
Responsibilities
Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and grounds
Assist with classroom setups, furniture movement, and light carpentry, electrical, or plumbing tasks
Conduct regular safety and maintenance inspections and report issues promptly
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition
Support event setup and ensure all spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards
Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely and professional manner
Desired Experience
One to two years of experience in facility maintenance, custodial work, or related trades preferred
Basic knowledge of hand tools, safety practices, and building systems
Experience working in a school, daycare, or similar environment is a plus
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills
Must pass all required state and regulatory background checks and fingerprinting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
Reliable transportation to travel between facilities
