Job description

Deibel Labs is a private food testing facility providing services in both food Microbiology and Chemistry testing. We play an integral role in food and product safety for industry-leading producers, as well as family run operations much like our own.

Our lab location in Brampton, Ontario is hiring a full-time, entry-level Lab Technician I (40 hours/week).

Compensation: Starting hourly rates at $17.50 - $18.25 D.O.E. CAD

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11AM - 7:30PM (including opportunities for overtime)

Sunday - Thursday 12pm - 8:30pm

The position requires the candidate to work washing laboratory dish wear and assist the Lab technicians with sample prep as well as other janitorial duties in the lab and office. Candidate will also assist in the media lab preparing broths and agars to meet the operational need of the lab. Candidate must be willing to work both independently and with the team. Candidate must have a can-do attitude!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Entry Level Position: We are Happy to Train.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 0-1 Years Work Experience.
  • Ability to follow written instructions(recipes).
  • Must be able to work efficiently and meet the needs of the lab.
  • Must have a good attitude.
  • Must be able to lift 10lbs repeatedly throughout the day and be on your feet.
  • Must be able to pick up to 50lbs (with both hands).
  • Must work occasional holidays.

  • Must live within 30 miles of the lab - no relocation packages available


*Prior experience in a bakery, restaurants, barista, steam sterilizers, sanitation, and/or dish washing are a plus. We will train you!
