Job description

Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing and maintaining the university's physical infrastructure and engineering systems. They handle construction, maintenance, and technical operations to ensure facilities and systems are functional, safe, and aligned with the university's needs.
These roles are responsible for meeting building, maintenance, and infrastructure needs by performing skilled and/or trade-related tasks that may not require specific licensure. Staff may support construction and renovation projects, address installation and repair issues, and/or provide routine preventative maintenance in one or more trades, contributing to the functionality and overall condition of the university environment.

Individual contributors who provide support to an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience.

Entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior experience. Work is routine and follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are routine with clearly defined solutions. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: None.

Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires regular walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, and climbing ladders or stairs, lifting and carrying of various weights. Repetitive motion for grasping, pulling, pushing, and operating hand and power tools; work may occur in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions and environments.
