Integrity Orthopaedics (now part of Smith + Nephew) is a medical device company transforming soft tissue repair with a patented, FDA-cleared system designed to improve surgical fixation and long-term healing in rotator cuff repairs. We are scaling operations to support broader commercial launch and production excellence.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the development, validation, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for our innovative surgical device - directly contributing to product quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for advanced soft tissue repair device systems
  • Partner with Research and Development and Quality teams to support design for manufacturability and ensure robust production processes
  • Develop, validate, and implement equipment, fixtures, and tooling for assembly and inspection
  • Support the transfer of processes from development into high volume manufacturing
  • Execute root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production challenges
  • Support process validation, change control activities, and documentation in compliance with regulated medical device standards
What will you need to be successful?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or a related field

Experience:

  • Entry level to two years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process development
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks is preferred

Competences:

  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as medical devices is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean or DMAIC
  • Ability to support process development and validation activities with guidance

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $65,000-$97,500 USD annually.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
