Job description

Summary:

This is an entry level apprentice position to the Test Technician II. Must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components.
  • Must be familiar with HVAC systems.
  • Must be able to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Must have basic industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems.
  • Must be willing to assist the Test Technician II.
  • Assemble fans and wire them for assembly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.ย  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.ย  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ย 

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).ย 
  • One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level.
  • Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc.
  • Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to read and understand bills of material, piping and electrical schematics.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Hourly Rate: $23 - $25
