Applied Technical Services, LLC ("ATS" or the "Company") is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. Summary: ATS is seeking Maritime NDT Trainees and experienced Maritime NDT Techs to support our Seattle, WA office. This position is open to Entry Level NDT Techs with formal NDT classroom hours as well as experienced Level II NDT Techs (VT/PT/MT/UT &/or RT). Must be local to Seattle, WA or willing to relocate. This is a permanent position with a pay range of $28 to $35+ per hour based on experience and certs held.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • The Maritime NDT Trainee will be responsible for supporting customers and projects in the field while being trained in Maritime NDT-related work. Entry Level NDT experience including formal NDT classroom hours is preferred.
  • The Maritime NDT Level II Tech will be responsible for supporting customers and projects in the field while conducting NDT in most methods.
  • All NDT Techs will collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and report test results.
  • Complete reports and documentation as required.
  • Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications.
  • Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
  • Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
  • Ability to use computers for data entry.

Passport and TWIC in hand or ability to obtain these important documents promptly.

  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
