STS Technical Services is hiring a Technical Recruiter in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
This is a local recruiting role built for someone who knows how to find people, talk to people and move with purpose. The right person will be confident, direct, organized and persistent. You will spend your days sourcing, screening, qualifying and hiring technical talent while supporting client needs across engineering, design, development and testing roles.

Job Summary
The Technical Recruiter is responsible for attracting qualified candidates and matching them to the open positions for which they are best suited. This role reports to the Recruiting Manager and supports the daily recruiting operations of STS Technical Services.

Educational Background and Experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree or higher Preferred
  • 3 years of recruiting experience placing preferred, one year of experience required
  • Beginner to Intermediate skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Screen, interview, test, qualify and hire applicants using the Company's computer database in documenting all recruiting efforts and comments.
  • Review resumes and make outbound calls from various sources, such as from query reports based on skills, geographical areas, and last contact dates.
  • Exercise ability to recognize possible leads such as layoffs, advertisements, internet, and follow up on the leads.
  • Proper processing of daily duties as tasked by the Director of Recruiting & Program Delivery.
  • Follow up with employees that complete or terminate assignments and route to another assignment when possible.
  • Obtain referrals from candidates and follow up with referrals.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the Company and the Company's policies and procedures with regard to job site wages and benefits, and working conditions of assignment.
  • Have clear understanding of requirements pertaining to pre-employment screening, background checks, drug screening, and employment eligibility verification.
  • Maintain rapport with candidate after hire in order to provide effective customer service and place candidate for subsequent assignments.
  • Recruiter must be a team player, able to work with fellow recruiters and support staff.
  • Must reside within one-hour commute of an STS Technical Services office location, and must work from that office at least one day per week.

  • Source and build candidate pipelines using our ATS, LinkedIn, job boards, resume databases, and outreach tools like phone, email, and text
  • Screen and qualify candidates through phone and video interviews, documenting evaluations in our ATS
  • Align with clients or hiring managers by gathering requirements and refining search strategies via calls, email, and job documentation
  • Manage candidate flow by submitting applicants, coordinating interviews, and maintaining engagement using ATS platforms, scheduling tools, and communication channels
  • Oversee the hiring process by tracking progress across multiple roles with ATS, calendars, and workflow tools
  • Close candidates by presenting offers, negotiating terms, and securing acceptances using phone, email, and compensation/offer documentation
  • Track activity and performance by logging interactions and monitoring metrics through ATS reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets
  • Continuously source and network by building relationships and generating referrals through LinkedIn, industry groups, and professional networks.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
