What a day at EXP has in store for you

EXP is currently looking for a Project Managerย to join the Hazardous Materials team located at our London office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop themselves within our fast-growing group with very competitive compensation packages, commensurate with experience.

As a Project Manager, the primary role will be to manage Projects of different complexities, maintain existing clientele while continuously developing new clientele. The role will also require the successful candidate to perform other job-related duties, including multi-disciplinary projects and assisting other regional offices and multi-disciplinary Project work.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Project management of Hazardous Materials related project work
  • Excellent organizational and time management skillsย withย an astute attention to detail
  • The ability to effectively manage assigned staff during multiple projects being completed in parallel time frames
  • Daily work will include management and/or completion of designated substance and asbestos assessment projects, mold and moisture assessments, indoor air quality assessments, lead and silica assessments and monitoring
  • Responsible for reports and specification preparation and management of personnel during inspections of abatement or remedial work
  • Preparing contract documents and being accountable for all financials for projects
  • Training and mentoring junior and intermediate technologists
  • Maintaining and enhancingย quality control and will work within the assigned QA/QC framework within the group
  • Must be available to work during weekends and nights, as required.

What your experience looks like

  • 1 to 3 years' experience as a Project Manager in hazardous materials consulting industry. Consideration will be given to candidates with a Project Coordinator or equivalent experience within the Hazardous Materials Field
  • Proven ability to comprehend technical reporting and analytical lab reports
  • The ability to review and provide direction for required edits on all written reports and correspondence,ย including attention to proper spelling, grammar and punctuation in technical reports and written correspondence
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance and their own transportation
  • Experience in reading technical reports as well as architectural drawings in order to prepare detailed specifications, drawings, reports and RFP/RFQ documents for clientele
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups as well as independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work well within a team environment
  • Experience working in a client services environment with developed client service skills
