Job description

Opportunity Description
Location: Manassas, VA (onsite 5 days per week) STEM Solutions is growing, and we're looking for someone with grit, resilience, and a great personality to join our recruiting team. This is an entry-level opportunity. You do not need recruiting experience or a technical background—we'll teach you both. What we can't teach is work ethic. This role is built for someone who enjoys talking to people, isn't afraid of rejection, and can stay motivated after hearing "no" dozens of times a day. Success comes from consistency, follow-up, and the ability to build relationships over time. What You'll Do
Make 100+ outbound cold calls each day to identify and engage candidates.
Follow up consistently through phone, email, text, and LinkedIn.
Screen candidates and learn how to match them with technical opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with professionals throughout the hiring process.
Keep accurate notes and activity in our applicant tracking system.
Work closely with experienced recruiters and hiring managers to fill critical positions supporting government and commercial clients.
What We're Looking For
Excellent verbal communication skills.
A positive, energetic, and outgoing personality.
Thick skin and the ability to handle rejection without losing momentum.
Strong organization and follow-up habits.
Competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
Coachable and eager to learn.
Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable.
No Experience? No Problem. We provide hands-on training in:
Technical recruiting
Government contracting and security clearances
IT and engineering terminology
Candidate sourcing
Recruiting technology and best practices
Relationship-based recruiting
What Success Looks Like
100+ quality outbound calls per day.
Consistent candidate follow-up.
Building a pipeline of qualified professionals.
Meeting recruiting activity and placement goals.
Becoming a trusted advisor to candidates and clients. Why STEM Solutions?
At STEM Solutions, you'll join a small, high-performing team that supports mission-critical government and commercial programs. You'll receive direct mentorship, real responsibility from day one, and a clear path to advance into a full-cycle technical recruiter. If you're looking for a career—not just a job—and you're willing to outwork the competition, we'd like to talk with you.
