Associate Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Pensacola, Florida (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This role supports business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership. The successful candidate will analyze business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources. This is an entry-level professional position with a developing skill set and a basic understanding of analytical procedures and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow standard procedures to create and update basic reports and dashboards.
  • Identify trends or patterns and assist in preparing ongoing reports and data visualizations to support business decisions.
  • Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas for operational improvement, and display root cause analysis.
  • Partner with leaders and senior staff to define specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required data elements.
  • Support and participate in team projects and initiatives.
  • Utilize and adhere to data governance documents and procedures, alerting supervisors to any inconsistencies.
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources to drive insights into business performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and BI solutions.
  • Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts.
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: 1-5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience designing scalable dashboards and self-service reporting solutions such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical requirements, success metrics, and reporting solutions.
  • Skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services.
  • Knowledge of reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM, and/or database software.
  • Skill in complex data manipulation across multiple tables.
  • Data integration, cleaning, and validation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Skill in communicating data analysis and visualizations to non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Effective research and interpersonal skills.
