  • SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The Supply Chain Manager leads and optimizes end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, scheduling, supplier performance, and material flow. This role ensures materials are available to support manufacturing while balancing inventory, cost, service, and operational efficiency. Working closely with Operations, Production, Customer Experience, Quality, Finance, and suppliers, the Supply Chain Manager develops strategies to improve supply continuity, reduce costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and support business growth. The role also leads the Purchasing, Materials, and Scheduling teams while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business and manufacturing objectives.
  • Lead Purchasing, Materials Management, Inventory Control, and Production Scheduling.
  • Manage procurement to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies.
  • Develop supplier partnerships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Sales, Customer Experience, and Finance to support planning, forecasting, and material availability.
  • Optimize inventory levels while minimizing shortages, excess inventory, and supply chain risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement, planning, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and procurement procedures.
  • Monitor and report key supply chain performance metrics.
  • Support new product launches and manage obsolete or excess inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Hires and manages the Purchasing and scheduling teams.
  2. Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  3. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  4. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be based primarily in a typical climate-controlled office environment. However, performance of this position does require a physical presence on the production floor at times and therefore, will experience characteristics commonly found in a manufacturing setting. Characteristics would include (but not limited to):
  • frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Must adhere to and comply with all safety, cGMP and other relevant policies.

  • POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
    • This is a full-time position. The base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per shift depending on shift assigned.
    • Due to the nature of the position, work will be required outside of regular business hours, including weekends, to ensure plant operations. Remote access is an available option when based on scenario, but this position is intended to be primarily performed on-site.

  • TRAVEL
    • Up to 10% travel may be required in this position.
    • Employees are expected to use personal credit card for travel and be reimbursed for business-related expenses.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.

  • PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE SKILLS
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual is considered a plus.
    • Mathematical Skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
    • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
    • Knowledge of procurement, planning, scheduling, logistics, and inventory management principles.
    • Excellent analytical and financial decision-making skills.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system proficiency.
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with suppliers.
    • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and material flow.

  • WORK AUTHORIZATION
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a pre-condition of employment.
