We’re seeking an entry-level Commercial Merchandiser who is eager to learn the fundamentals of commodity merchandising, build relationships across the ag value chain, and contribute to the success of our crush operations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll gain hands-on experience across procurement, sales, and market analysis:

Procurement & Producer Engagement

  • Build relationships with soybean producers, elevators, and suppliers
  • Originate soybeans using cash bids, forward contracts, and HTA agreements
  • Support strategies to maintain consistent plant supply

Sales & Customer Support

  • Assist in marketing soybean meal and soybean oil to feed, refining, and renewable fuel customers
  • Help manage contracts, pricing, and delivery coordination
  • Track demand trends to support sales decisions

Market Analysis & Risk Exposure

  • Monitor commodity markets, including futures, basis, and spreads
  • Assist with hedging activities and risk management strategies
  • Analyze USDA reports, weather patterns, and global supply/demand

Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with transportation partners
  • Align contracts with production schedules

Business & Margin Optimization

  • Support evaluation of crush margins and profitability opportunities
  • Contribute to balancing procurement and sales timing
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Internship or early exposure to agriculture, commodities, or business operations preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
