Job description

Job Summary:
Sierra Space is an industry-leading space and defense technology company providing satellites, spacecraft, and enabling mission systems and components. The SAP MM Consultant will support materials management processes, focusing on inventory management modules and assisting in configuring and troubleshooting inventory transactions while collaborating with functional teams for process documentation and testing.
Responsibilities:
• Support materials management processes with primary focus on inventory management modules including goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory operations.
• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting inventory management transactions (MIGO, MB51, MI01) and maintaining stock determination logic across multiple plant/storage location combinations.
• Support integration points between MM and other SAP modules (FI, SD, PP, MES) and monitoring inbound/outbound interfaces for inventory-related data exchanges with third-party systems.
• Participate in incident resolution, perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies, and support month-end inventory closing activities.
• Collaborate with functional teams to document process flows, prepare test scripts for inventory scenarios, and support user acceptance testing for enhancements or system upgrades.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
• Typically 2+ years of related experience.
• Certification varies by business system.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and business processes.
• Proficiency in software environments and upgrades.
