Position Overview
Strategix Management, LLC is seeking an on-call Scientific Editor to support Federal clients within the National Cancer Institute. The Scientific Editor will review and edit scientific manuscripts for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to publication standards.
This is a fully remote position responsible for accessibility support for multiple government deliverables. Hours will vary per month depending on client needs (0-40 hours per month) with an average turnaround time of one week. This position is not benefit-eligible.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide both proofreading and copyediting for scientific documents, to include manuscripts, posters, presentations, social media posts, and other technical reports.

  • Focuses on correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style to ensure clarity. accuracy, and professionalism.

Requirements
Required Skills
  • Strong communication, time management, and understanding of scientific terminology.

  • Extensive experience with editing scientific manuscripts.

  • Familiarity with all Microsoft applications and reference software (i.e., EndNote).

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing scientific editing.
