Company Description

IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT-to-HIRE position available immediately for a SQL Server DBA Architect  to join our customer in Dallas, TX. This is an ONSITE position. Please find below additional details about this job. Kindly respond with your most up to date resume if you would like to pursue this opportunity. Client will consider only those candidates who are authorized to work in US for any employer without any restrictions. This is a W2 role and we will not be able to work with 3rd party candidates on this.

Job Description

Maintain, backup / restore, and monitor any and all SQL Server 2008/2012 environments. 
- Help define database back-up & recovery strategy including archiving strategies. 
- Support SQL Server deployments/ migrations. 
- Analyze security and document recommendations. 
- Analyze/ troubleshoot performance issues. 
- Analyze performance and document recommendations. 
- Perform refreshes,clones, apply patches and upgrades. 
- Automate scripts such as backups, database checks, update statistics, index rebuilds.

Qualifications


 Excellent Communication skills. 
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA/ Database Architect. 
- Good experience in SQL Server Clustering and Replication.
- Solid experience working with EMC Storage devices.
- Good experience working with CISCO Networking Devices.
- Experience installing SQL Server Database on Windows 2008. 
- T-SQL 
- SQL Server 2008 R2/ 2012 
- Windows 2008
