Job description

EMCO Technologies is seeking a motivated Network Engineer-Entry Level to support our ExxonMobil customer in Baytown, Texas. This position is ideal for a candidate with foundational networking experience who is eager to expand their technical skills in a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while supporting network infrastructure.


Incident & Change Management

  • Work off a prioritized backlog and respond to break/fix & enhancement requests as needed.
  • Plan, Implement and Coordinate Infrastructure changes, upgrades, outages
  • Network administration
  • Adding network devices, computers, servers to the network and domain
  • Configuring ports / submit Port Opening Requests (PORs)
  • Working frequently with the Network Security, Hosting & Platform Policy teams, and other Site IT Services teams.
  • Configuring network switches and routers
  • Troubleshooting ACL and firewall rule connections
  • Submit procurement requests for networking equipment for annual P&B
  • Automate/modernize processes
  • Modernize inventory maintenance
  • Proactively identify and drive retirement of legacy hardware & OS
  • Facilitate integrations with L4 solutions and cloud environments
  • Account creation
  • Password resets
  • Active directory maintenance
  • Folder access
  • Software installation
  • Update support documentation as needed
