Description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Houston, Texas area:

WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN


Warehouse Technicians perform any combination of tasks to receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within warehouses and/or onsite facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads work order, shipping order, or requisition order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or forklift
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, color, or product code
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and other stock items
  • May also distribute tools
  • Records materials or items received and distributed
  • May be responsible for inventory and inventory control
  • May be required to load or unload materials from trucks, trailers, or rail cars
  • May be required to manually package 80 lb bales of rubber into various containers
  • Work in warehouse/finishing building in high and low temperature environments
  • Work 12 hour rotating shifts (6AM-6PM rotating days/nights, including holidays and weekends

The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time.   This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner.  The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
