Software QA Tech



Cemtek KVB-Enertec is the leader in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Industry, selling gas analyzer systems and industry specific emissions monitoring software across the country and globally. We are growing and seeking a Software QA Tech for our Software Development team.



Functional Requirement:

  • Overall responsibility for quality assurance of all software releases for our emissions monitoring and reporting business. Including: Data Acquisition and Handling System (DAHS) full releases, Service Packs, and related supporting libraries.
  • Work with the software development team to design and implement test cases, methods and strategies for unit, regression and customer-targeted testing.
  • Retrieve, archive, organize and use customer configurations and datasets in all aspects of test scenarios.
  • QA testing scope includes regulatory compliance, operational sufficiency and end-user functionality.
  • Ability to identify defects, test software fixes and enhancements for accurate resolution of work item requests, and verify fitness of software products for customer release.
  • Create, maintain and upgrade test scripts.
  • Preferred candidate will be experienced with SQL Server querying for data retrieval, configuration, validation and modification, and will be familiar with several versions of SQL Server and Windows Server.
  • Maintain documentation for testing procedures, customer dataset retrieval, and release histories.
  • Work with software support to troubleshoot customer issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree, or higher, in a technical/computer discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience in a commercial software QA role or customer software support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Desired:

  • Experience with computer networking, VPN usage, creating and managing Microsoft Hyper-V VMs. VMWare experience accepted.
  • Knowledge of air emissions regulations and emissions monitoring technologies a plus.
