About the Quality Assurance Software Tester position
We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Software Tester to join our team remotely. You will work closely with application developers to plan, execute, and report on tests of applications developed and deployed in an AWS cloud environment. You should have a deep understanding of software requirements and experience running tests of software applications against specified requirements or objectives.
Quality Assurance Software Tester responsibilities are:
  • Execute automated and manual test cases against applications deployed in an AWS cloud environment and analyze results
  • Log and document bugs and similar test failures in the tracking system
  • Review and analyze software requirement and design specifications
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Support security testing, hardening, and assessments to meet strict compliance and operational security requirements

Quality Assurance Software Tester requirements are:
  • 5+ years of software testing/QA experience
  • Experience in project management and QA methodology
  • Familiarity with modern agile software development principles, practices, methods, and tools
  • Experience with version control systems (preferably Git) and issue tracking software (preferably Jira)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, document, and explain errors
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be able to pass a full background investigation and obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility

Desired Qualifications are:
  • Experience working with AWS services or AWS cloud certification(s) are a plus
