Job Description:
Position Overview
We are seeking a Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) Engineer to support the testing and evaluation of prototype components and equipment throughout the product development lifecycle. This role serves as a key liaison between design engineering and testing teams to ensure products meet performance, durability, reliability, and customer expectations.
The successful candidate will participate in product validation activities, analyze test results, support failure investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage test plans, including virtual simulation, laboratory testing, performance evaluations, and field testing.
  • Support root-cause investigations and data acquisition efforts to identify failures and drive timely resolutions.
  • Analyze test results, assess prototype reliability, and forecast warranty and failure trends.
  • Provide technical support to Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Management teams.
  • Benchmark competitive products to identify performance opportunities and influence future designs.
  • Prepare and communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, and discussions with stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and data streams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, lab engineers, technicians, mechanics, field sites, and structural analysts.
  • Operate and evaluate equipment to understand customer usage and support development of effective test plans.
  • Support product development activities from concept through production implementation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Entry-level to early-career engineering experience.
  • Basic CAD design experience (Creo/ProE preferred).
  • Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and engineering problem-solving techniques.
  • Hands-on aptitude with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or software systems.
  • Understanding of product development phases including design, testing, manufacturing, and customer feedback.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Experience working effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to document test procedures and communicate results clearly.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of commercial mowing, turf care, outdoor power equipment, or related industries.
  • Experience with robotics and automation technologies.
  • Experience supporting product development, validation testing, engineering analysis, or product design.
  • Experience working with mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Project management experience, including planning and execution.
  • Experience using data acquisition systems and sensors such as thermocouples, strain gauges, and pressure sensors.
  • Six Sigma, reliability engineering, or statistical analysis experience.
