Job description

Treske Precision Machining, Inc. is a precision machine shop. We serve: Space & Defense, Aerospace, Electronics and Commercial Customers.  We are Technology Driven including Robotic Machine Loading and Inspection. Our Cloud-Based On-The-Clock Training is for all employees. Our own in-house software developers continually improve the flow of information we need to do our daily jobs.
Treske has an immediate opening for a Tool Room Technician.  On The Job (OJT) training will be provided.  Entry level candidates will be considered. Our ideal candidate is able to follow direction as well as be an independent worker and is interested in helping our team grow and expand for the future; must also be reliable, driven, and highly motivated to excel in a highly automated and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift: Swing and weekend nights

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assembly and breakdown of CNC cutting tools using precision measuring tools
  • Verifies tool dimensions using a computerized tool pre-setter
  • Perform inventory and tool data computer transactions
  • Load/unload tooling into CNC machines

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Able to accurately follow verbal and written communications. Possess interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Able to work collectively with the Tool Crib team, Machinists, Planner/Schedulers, CNC Programmers, and Managers
  • Experience with shop tools including ratchets, wrenches, torque tools, and measurement equipment such as calipers
  • CNC Tool presetting experience is a plus

Job Conditions/Physical Requirements

Work performed in factory settings.   Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.  Occasionally required to lift up to 25 lbs.  Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
