Job description

A researcher affiliated with the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research and Baruch College is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support an ongoing mixed-methods research project focused on disability, caregiving, and social policy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative research activities

  • Conduct literature reviews

  • Support data cleaning, organization, and analysis

  • Help prepare research summaries, tables, and presentations

  • Assist with interview-related tasks and qualitative data organization

  • Participate in research meetings

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate student or advanced undergraduate in economics, sociology, social work, public health, nursing, public policy, or related field

  • Experience with research methods and data analysis preferred

  • Familiarity with Stata, R, Python, NVivo, or similar software is a plus

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Interest in disability, aging, healthcare, or social policy research preferred

Location: Remote or hybrid

Pay Range:

$30-$40/hr
