Welcome to Windham Mountain Club!


Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.


Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season.

Full Time and Part Time Positions available!


Pay: 20 per hour based on experience

Anticipated Start Dates: December 15th through December 20th

*This start date is weather dependent


Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Conditions: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, hail, wind, and cold temperatures.


Overview of Position:
The Ski Lift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts at Windham Mountain Club. This role assists guests with loading and unloading, monitors lift operations, enforces safety procedures, and provides excellent customer service to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chairlifts and conveyor lifts following safety procedures and resort guidelines.
  • Assist guests with safe loading and unloading.
  • Monitor lift operations and maintain safe, orderly lift lines.
  • Enforce lift ticket, pass, and safety policies.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, emergencies, and lift-related issues.
  • Perform routine lift inspections and maintain clean, safe work areas.
  • Provide guests with resort and trail information.
  • Work with ski patrol, maintenance, and guest services to support daily operations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow dress code standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Guest service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in busy or stressful environments.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and skiing/snowboarding experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Walk and work safely on uneven, snow- and ice-covered terrain.
  • Work outdoors in winter conditions for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Regularly push, pull, stoop, kneel, and reach.
