POSITION SUMMARY
The lift operator is responsible for orchestrating the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of all guests while riding the ski lift. This involves engaging with and providing a first-class mountain adventure for each and every guest, communicating clearly and making quick decisions to ensure safe operation of the ski lift. This is a seasonal position with part time and full-time opportunities, paid at $20.00/hr.
Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Greet and welcome each guest while loading and unloading the ski lift

  • Respond to all guest inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner

  • Follow all lift opening and closing procedures

  • Ensure all safety signs, mats, seat pads, and safety cones are in place, clear, and safe

  • Ability to troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment

  • Keep lift buildings and lift area well maintained

  • Ensure daily signage is up to date and clocks set properly

  • Close and open maze lanes for effective maze operation, assist in maze orchestration

  • Give verbal and non-verbal commands as needed to help guide guests

  • Must be able to make quick decisions regarding lift speed to ensure guest safety

  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Reliable transportation to/from work

  • Able to work outside during inclement weather

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must complete Lift Operation training prior to working

  • Ability to communicate and problem solve effectively

  • Motivated to provide great customer service

  • Previous lift operation experience, preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work weekends and holidays.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
