Job description

Linux Site Reliability Engineer
Linux Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be a key player in maximizing business continuity and resiliency for TrustCommerce, an electronic payment processing division of RevSpring. Linux SRE will administer and support Linux-based applications, Linux-based data systems, Linux-based infrastructures, data center technologies, and other hosted/managed technologies. Additionally, Linux SRE will be principally involved in the engineering of infrastructural solutions, such as the advancement of CCM, SHM, CI/CD, IaC, and other initiatives. Responsibilities will include participation in 24x7 SLA-driven on-call rotations, issue and ticket triage and resolution, Linux and other technology administration and engineering, Linux scripting and other automation/acceleration engineering, improving security, reliability, exception handling, scalability, and observability, and participation in related activities.
Technical Requirements:
  • High proficiency in command-line Linux administration, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • High proficiency in 24x7, SLA-driven operations
  • Proficiency in LAMP/LAPP stack and/or Linux-based database administration
  • Proficiency in Linux and related business continuity, resiliency, and security
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (Bash preferred)
  • Proficiency in application scripting (Python preferred)
  • Experience with automation/acceleration and/or DevOps techniques and technologies
  • Experience with containeriazation, orchestration, IaC, and/or CI/CD (Docker et al is a plus)
  • Experience with large data and analytics systems (SQL preferred)
  • Experience with the PCI DSS is a plus

  • Comfort in 24x7, mission-critical, and SLA-driven on-call roles
  • Comfort in dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environments

  • Ability to travel within the United States roughly four times annually (for up to one week per trip)
