Sit-Down Forklift Operator | Mount Morris, IL | M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm | $20 per hour

About Us: We are staffing sit down forklift operators in our warehouse in Mount Morris IL. If you have a strong attention to detail, prioritize safety, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have previous verifiable experience operating a sit down forklift at work, we encourage you to apply!

If you are a spotter even better- responsible for assisting in loading/unloading materials from and onto trailers. Using a pallet jack for assist. Will be moving trailers using the spot truck to organize where needed in lot and around building.

Position Overview: As a Sit-Down Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of products within the facility. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to operate powered industrial equipment safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Carefully and accurately move products into and/or out of warehouse locations using a sit-down forklift.
  • Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper stacking and securement of products.
  • Transport products throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution center required.
  • Dependable with reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
  • People-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Safety-minded with a focus on careful and controlled work.
  • Achievement-oriented with a willingness to take on challenges.
  • Autonomous and able to work with little direction.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Must have steel-toed work boots that come up 6 inches above the ankle.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
