Job Summary:
METECS is seeking an entry-level Simulation Software Engineer to support NASAโ€™s simulation efforts as part of the Robotics, Simulations, and Graphics Support (RSGS) team. This role involves contributing to the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of high-fidelity simulation software for human spaceflight programs.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Implementing and maintaining features from Git-managed work items
โ€ข Participating in peer code reviews
โ€ข Contributing to automated testing efforts
โ€ข Helping maintain and improve continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
โ€ข Experience in simulations, software development, or a related technical field.
โ€ข Proficiency in C++.
โ€ข Experience working in Linux-based environments.
โ€ข Familiarity with Git for version control.
โ€ข Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
โ€ข Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
โ€ข Solid foundation in physics and mathematics.
