BAE Systems in Nashua, NH is looking to hire a Security Specialist to support the Electronic Systems Personnel Security Office - ensuring the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable manuals are implemented and compliance is maintained. Support the ES Security Personnel Clearance Processing, ES Visitor Control and ES Special Programs Processing across the growing Sector. In this entry level Security Specialist I position you will make impacts in the following ways;
  • Acquires, reviews, and processes to completion - Initial Clearances, 5 year clearance reinvestigations, reinstatements and clearance upgrades.
  • Process ES New Hire's and Terminations - SIMS/DISS/NBIS
  • Support and process PSQ's, Foreign Travel and reporting as per Special Program requirements
  • Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, eQIP/eAPP and NISS
  • Manage and maintain ES SIMS, DISS and NBIS
  • Maintain PERSEC Shared Area and PERSEC One Space
  • Develops security plans to comply with existing directives and future requirements
  • Provide/maintain monthly and quarterly metrics
  • Maintain continuity plans relative to the PERSEC Office
  • Professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, performs in a multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, work independently, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.
  • Additional duties as assigned
*** This opportunity will offer a hybrid remote work schedule where you spend part of your time on site, and part of your time remotely while also working a Nine-Eighty schedule that gives you every other Friday off .

Required Skills and Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of related administrative and clerical experience
  • Must receive Interim SECRET eligibility within 3 months of start date
  • Eligible for Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with the PC's and office software, good writing skills
  • Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, NBIS, EQIP, EAPP, JADE
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Decision making and reasoning skills
  • Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and other related security manuals
  • Must be organized and be able to work independently
