Partner Technology, a well established home security and custom A/V solutions provider in the Athens area, is currently seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician. 

Job Description

The Security Alarm Technician will perform installations, upgrades, and servicing of electronic control systems, which may include alarm systems, CCTV, custom audio and video, networking, home automation/system integration, and structured wiring.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, service and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems
  • Completion of all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements and prescribed standards
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation
  • Troubleshooting new systems to ensure system is functioning properly 
  • Inspection of equipment visually and replacement of defective components
  • Performs preventive inspections maintenance tasks in accordance with pre-established schedules and documents results/recommendations of maintenance
  • Provides on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers' security equipment
  • Prepares accurate timely service tickets and reports
  • Ensures a high level of and customer service, satisfaction and communication
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices and programming systems
  • Experience working with Honeywell, DMP, Telguard, or Alarm.com equipment is desired
  • Demonstrated ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair various systems, controls and equipment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
