Job Description
The Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking a Junior Visual Information Specialist to support the Strategic Communication Team at DIA/NDOC. This position will be located at one of our customer sites in Bethesda, MD; Reston, VA; or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC.
This exciting opportunity will enable you to leverage your experience in support of the DIA's OSINT mission. In this mission space, we support DIA/NDOC's OSINT mission on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). The Leidos effort consists of five main tasks: collecting and reporting, mission and information technology architecture, policy and OSINT governance support, OSINT strategic communications strategy support, and OSINT specialized tradecraft and training development support.
As a Visual Information Specialist, you will bring the brand to life by creating dynamic, visually stunning graphics, infographics, and multimedia assets that captivate audiences and elevate communication across every channel. You will deliver cutting-edge designs, interactive presentations, and engaging digital experiences, all while ensuring the visual identity remains bold, consistent, and instantly recognizable through ongoing innovation and quarterly branding reviews.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Create graphic design assets, branded templates, and maintain visual identity across channels.
  • Support web, graphic, and multimedia design needs in compliance with branding guidelines.
  • Establish a consistent and professional visual identity that reinforces brand recognition and effectively supports communication objectives across all channels.
  • Develop and maintain branded materials that adhere to organizational branding guidelines. This includes creating visually appealing graphics for digital and print media, presentations, infographics, and other design elements that enhance communication efforts.
  • Provide graphic design, video, web support services, interpret customer requirements, identify the most efficient presentation of communications products, and develop concepts that communicate information consistent with DIA style guidelines.
  • Support design and layout of visual and multimedia products supporting briefings, guides, manuals, programs, flat panel displays and seals/logos for interactive briefing products used for internal and external communications that is visually appealing and user-friendly websites and digital assets.
  • Assist with products such as:
    • Training assessments and performance evaluation tools, Instructor guides and manuals
    • Branded Templates: for presentations, reports, and web content, ensuring consistent branding
    • Graphic Design Assets: including infographics, web content graphics, event banners, and other visuals, updated monthly or as needed
    • Concepts, scripts, storyboards, schedule, and deadlines for select forms of media for projects, apply state-of-the-art techniques in graphic design and web development to achieve project objectives
    • Quarterly Branding Review: assessing alignment with brand guidelines, providing updates, and suggesting improvements

Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • U.S. Citizenship required per program requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree and less than 2 years of experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Entry-level experience or internship in graphic design and visual media.
  • Experience with each of the job responsibility areas listed above.
  • Excel at supporting real-world National Security missions.
  • Enjoy working directly with teammates and customers to understand requirements and develop and implement solutions.
  • The ability to:
    • understand and anticipate second and third order effects that result from user engagements and personal decisions.
    • perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • clarify and accomplish tasks under limited supervision.
    • manage personal workload and complete tasks early or on time.
    • exercise good professional judgement that results in building relationships and negating or resolving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, creative, and organized.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
  • Successful polygraph within the last 5 years is a significant advantage and preferred.
  • Three years of experience in graphic design and visual media.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
