Job description

Location: Chesapeake, VA
Company: Hot & Cold Supply

Build a Career, Not Just a Job

Hot & Cold Supply is a growing industrial supplier and manufacturer supporting the U.S. Navy shipyards, the maritime industrial base, defense contractors, and critical infrastructure projects. We’re looking for a driven, curious individual to join our team as a Technical Solutions Associate—an entry point into a long-term career in industrial sales, operations, and leadership.

You’ll be trained to understand real-world systems—hose & cable assemblies, mechanical systems, and DoW operations, and how to deliver solutions that keep mission-critical work moving.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with customers (shipyards, contractors, industrial clients) to understand needs and provide solutions
  • Prepare quotes, source materials, and coordinate orders with vendors and internal teams
  • Learn our core product lines: hose, fittings, cable assemblies, portable structures, valves, and industrial systems
  • Support outside sales reps and gradually take ownership of customer accounts
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to identify the best technical and commercial solutions
  • Track and manage opportunities, quotes, and follow-ups

What You’ll Learn

  • How industrial systems are designed and used in real-world applications
  • How to read specs, drawings, and technical requirements
  • How to manage customer relationships and projects from start to finish
  • Negotiation, procurement, and supply chain fundamentals
  • The foundation to grow into a Sr. Analyst, Product Specialist, Product Data Coordinator or Account Manager

Who You Are

  • Early in your career (or looking to pivot into a stable, high-growth industry)
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable talking with customers and teammates
  • Curious and willing to learn technical products and applications
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

You do not need prior experience. We will train the right person.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Hands-on training and mentorship
  • Clear career progression path
  • Stable, growing business tied to long-term government and industrial demand
  • Team-oriented & collaborative environment
