SUMMARY
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Staff Geotechnical Engineer/Staff Geologist supporting our geotechnical engineering practice. Our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role will be responsible for the following tasks outlined below.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for performing field and laboratory sampling and testing
  • Scheduling of projects with vendors and field personnel
  • Typing of boring logs/lab data
  • Assisting project management team with geologic research
  • Preparing site plans and other report exhibits
  • Assisting with report and proposal preparation
  • Job may require some infrequent out of town travel

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 0-2 years' experience in soils reports, soil laboratory testing, or other engineering/construction activities
  • Engineering or Geology degree is a BIG PLUS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
  • Some parts of the job may require bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Field work including hand-augers, infiltration tests, logging and sampling of soil borings, will be needed from time to time
  • Laboratory work, including lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving of soils and aggregate, etc. will be needed from time to time
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Office Software or similar software preferred

COMPENSATION
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
