Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Business Analyst – Salesforce to support the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Salesforce solutions. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and communication skills who is interested in developing expertise in Salesforce, business process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior business analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Salesforce solutions.

Scope of Work
·    Assist with gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and functional requirements for Salesforce solutions under the guidance of senior business analysts and technical team members.

·    Participate in stakeholder meetings, discovery sessions, and process-mapping discussions to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.

·    Help translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.

·    Support Salesforce configuration activities involving objects, fields, page layouts, reports, dashboards, workflows, and Flow.

·    Collaborate with Salesforce developers, administrators, QA engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

·    Assist with functional testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, release validation, and implementation support.

·    Develop and maintain business requirements, process documentation, training materials, user guides, and release notes.

·    Support end users by helping investigate system issues, answering functional questions, and documenting enhancement requests.

·    Assist with backlog management, requirements traceability, and prioritization of Salesforce enhancements.

·    Perform other related professional duties as assigned based on business needs.


Qualifications

·    0–2 years of business analysis, systems analysis, or related experience, including internships, academic work, or project experience.

·    Exposure to Salesforce, CRM platforms, or business applications is preferred but not required.

·    Familiarity with business analysis concepts such as requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, process mapping, and functional documentation.

·    Interest in developing expertise in Salesforce configuration, Flow, reports, dashboards, data management, APIs, and integrations.

·    Interest in learning and applying artificial intelligence (AI), including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce, to support business analysis, process automation, data insights, and improved user experiences.

·    Basic understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile or Scrum.

·    Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

·    Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

·    Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
·    Exposure to relational databases, SQL, APIs, testing, or systems integration concepts.

·    Salesforce Trailhead experience or certifications, such as Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst.

·    Experience creating process flows, user stories, functional documentation, reports, dashboards, or test scenarios through coursework, internships, or projects.

·    Interest in federal technology consulting or supporting government clients.

Professional Growth
The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Over time, this individual will take ownership of increasingly complex Salesforce business analysis assignments while building expertise in requirements management, process improvement, Salesforce configuration, automation, integrations, AI capabilities, and modern software delivery practices.

Additional Requirements
·    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education, training, or relevant experience may be considered.

·    Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

·    Location: Hybrid – two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) at REI Systems’ Sterling, VA office.

·    Base salary: $78,000–$100,000, plus annual performance-based bonuses.
