Overview
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ L&D, Kodiak, Alaska, United States. Start date: 07/06/2026. Travel assignment measured in weeks with a 3x12 rotating shift. Weekly pay: $2,297โ€“$2,328. Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be off one 12-hour shift per 2-week period). Unit features a four-bed Labor & Delivery area serving neonates through adults in a high-demand, acute care setting. Typical volume includes newborn delivery activity, with 1:1 patient care during days and nights. First-time travelers accepted. Vaccination: Hepatitis B required; COVID-19 vaccination not required. Housing and a vehicle are provided for traveler use, with arrival and return timelines defined by the contract. Epic charting experience is preferred. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Holidays are expected to be worked for 2 of the 3 major holidays. Compliance and references will be reviewed prior to start.

- Administer medications and IV therapies, including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips as per protocol
- Support breastfeeding initiation, education, and discharge planning for mother and newborn
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Lab, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary) to ensure safe, patient-centered care
- Facilitate clear charting in Epic and maintain accurate patient records throughout the shift
Requirements
- Active RN license in Alaska (or ability to obtain per state requirements) is required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Labor & Delivery; travel experience not required
