What You'll Be Doing:
The Registered Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the 24 hour direction of the clinical, operational and personnel activities of the resident care units. This position is designed to implement and controls nursing systems on the unit in collaboration with other nursing and multi-disciplinary personnel. Assists in developing and implementing specific programs. Ensures direct nursing care of residents by nursing personnel. Assumes various management duties on the unit, including acting ADON in the absence of the DON.

Requirements:
Education: Minimum of a 2 year RN - Registered Nurse nursing diploma/associate nursing degree. BSN preferred.
Licenses/Certification: Registered Nurse with a current license in the District of Columbia. BLS/CPR required.
Experience: Two years' experience in geriatric nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred. Minimum of two years nursing administration experience preferred, preferably in a long term care setting. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
