Compensation

Salary Range: $52.93 - $78.45 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: 

Tier I - The RN Case Manager I, Emergency Department/Critical Care Unit (ED/CCU) works with patients and families admitted into the Emergency Department and/or Critical Care Unit along with the healthcare team in the collaborative development of a plan for discharge and arrangement of any post-acute care services. The position assists with gathering data to ensure that patient care provided meets approved admission criteria, continued stay, and appropriate level of care. The RN Case Manager I (ED/CCU) is a temporary entry-level position, and requires advancement to the RN Case Manager II level within one (1) year from the start date.

Tier II - The RN Case Manager II, Emergency Department/Critical Care Unit (ED/CCU) works with patients and families admitted into the Emergency Department and/or Critical Care Unit along with the healthcare team in the collaborative development of a plan for discharge and arrangement any needed post-acute care services. The position assists with gathering data to ensure that patient care provided meets approved admission criteria, continued stay, and appropriate level of care.

Tier III - The RN Case Manager III, Emergency Department/Critical Care Unit (ED/CCU) works with patients and families admitted into the Emergency Department and/or Critical Care Unit along with the healthcare team in the collaborative development of a plan for discharge and arrangement any needed post-acute care services. The position assists with gathering data to ensure that patient care provided meets approved admission criteria, continued stay, and appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

Notice to Applicants:The position of RN Case Manager ED/CCU is open at three tiers: I, II, and III. Placement into a specific tier will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills. The pay for this role will correspond to the assigned tier and ranges from $52.93 to $85.65 per hour, depending on qualifications and years of experience. Tier I Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Tier I Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • One (1) year of experience in Case Management and strong discharge planning skills
  • One (1) year of experience with InterQual
  • One (1) year of experience with Allscripts and Meditech
