JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical and telemetry patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The RN utilizes professional nursing judgment, telemetry monitoring skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across varying levels of acuity. This role works closely with the Emergency Department and offers leadership growth opportunities, including Charge Nurse and progression to House Supervisor responsibilities, based on competency and organizational needs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality  

  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, discharge planning, and disease-specific care  

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record  

  • Ensure safe handling, administration, and reconciliation of medications, including controlled substances  

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and care team members

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Required Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing  

Preferred Education: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)  

Required Licensure: 

  • Current, active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification  

Specialty Certification: 

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and telemetry competency preferred or obtained within 90 days of hire  

Required Experience: 

  • Experience in hospital-based nursing care  

  • Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels in a fast-paced environment  

SKILLS: 

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities  

  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms  

  • Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills  

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
