With decades of technical expertise and a nationwide engineering and manufacturing network, it helps partners improve product reliability, reduce risk, and maintain the highest quality standards.

Role Overview

This role goes well beyond entry-level order taking. The person in this seat will own and manage their own book of business, partner with assigned account managers, and drive accurate, fast-turnaround quoting in a high-volume aerospace and industrial parts environment. Success requires real account-ownership experience, quoting fluency, and the attention to detail that precision components demand. This role is fully onsite and is critical to customer retention and account growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own and manage an assigned book of business, building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Prepare, price, and process customer quotes and RFQs accurately and on tight turnaround
  • Coordinate directly with account managers on shared and assigned accounts
  • Enter and manage customer orders end to end, from quote through fulfillment and follow-up
  • Handle inbound customer calls and emails professionally and promptly
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts and expand product usage
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve order issues and meet delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and order records with a high degree of precision
  • Perform reliably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Required Background

  • Proven experience owning a book of business or managing assigned accounts (not entry-level order taking)
  • Hands-on quoting and RFQ experience; must understand the fundamentals of quoting (required, not preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial supply, or distribution; aerospace or technical parts background strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP or order entry systems (Prophet 21 / P21 a strong plus)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, given the technical and aerospace nature of the products
  • Comfortable managing high-volume, multi-line-item quotes and orders
  • Strong phone-based and email customer communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual, able to work onsite during scheduled hours with no recurring availability conflicts

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive salary plus performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions
  • Paid time off and company holidays starting upon hire
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Cell phone allowance or company-provided phone
  • Career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company
