Job description

Duties/Behaviors:

  • Assist and participate with consultants in the implementation and support of Collaboration solutions for clients.
  • Install, configure, support, monitor, test, optimize, and troubleshoot problems pertaining to deployment, integration, and implementation of new hardware and software in basic client network environments based on designs developed by consultants.
  • Work under the direction of a consultant to implement migration strategies, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, test plans, and disaster recovery plans for Collaboration solutions.
  • Participate as a peer team member in the implementation and support of Collaboration solutions for clients.
  • Use a checklist to complete tasks: Work under the guidance of a consultant and work alone when given goals to complete.
  • Act as a technical lead for SMB-sized clients.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for network and Collaboration infrastructures.
  • Follow processes and procedures from client and employer.
  • Communicate project status and weekly activities to internal and external PMs.
  • Maintain and update project documentation and auditing for various clients.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with clients, work jointly through consultants or directly with the client.
  • Participate in project kick-off meeting and design discussions.
  • Communicate troubleshooting and incident reporting procedures to the technical team and monitor compliance.
  • Meet with Consultants to review the design and implementation plans for the client, ensure understanding of the business needs and how they map to the solution, and provide feedback to PM, PMO, and Senior Consultants based on actual field experience.
  • Participate in the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related field experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years hands on, technology related experience or equivalent education.

Certifications:

  • Entry Level Certifications completed. Working to complete CCNA-Collaboration or substantial equivalent knowledge or experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of collaboration products, ability to configure and install them based on specific requirements.
  • Knowledge of routing and switching, and collaboration products.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols and network design theory.
  • System-level troubleshooting knowledge.

    Professional Skills:

    • Actively working on developing strong customer-facing skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assist, encourage, and communicate with individuals across the organization
    • Ability to listen and communicate orally and in writing to team members
    • Ability to create project reports and as-builts documentation
    • Strong ability to make consistent good decisions based on the situation
    • Organized and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, set goals and objectives, and prioritize and complete tasks
