Job description

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting the Workers' Compensation department by managing inbound and outbound calls and providing exceptional service to claimants and internal teams. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in insurance, claims management, or customer service within a professional environment.
You will assist claim adjusters by addressing inquiries, clarifying information, and ensuring accurate communication between all parties. Training will be provided to help you succeed and grow in this role.
This role requires internet upload and download speeds of at least 80Mbps.
This role is available for both remote and hybrid work arrangements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer and return inbound and outbound phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Review claim history in the system and provide accurate information to callers.
  • Collaborate with claim adjusters to clarify details and resolve inquiries.
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records in the system.
  • Ensure punctual and consistent attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of call center experience

PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $13.94 - $21.48 per hour
