Job description

The Risk Management Specialist plays a vital role in protecting Laguna Development Corporation by proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating risk across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, this position oversees workersโ€™ compensation, general liability, and property claims while partnering closely with employees, leaders, regulators, and external agencies. The Specialist ensures timely injury reporting, coordinates medical care, supports litigation efforts, and maintains strict confidentiality, all while upholding LDCโ€™s core values and regulatory obligations in a fastโ€‘paced casino and hospitality environment.

In addition to claims administration, this role supports responsible gaming compliance, workplace safety programs, fleet coordination, training initiatives, and incident investigations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detailโ€‘oriented, and comfortable balancing compliance, training, and investigative responsibilities. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to work varied hours when needed.
