GDBA's Mission: The Safety, Privacy, and Wellbeing of our Clients
GDBA is looking to hire an entry-level background investigator to join our Investigations Division.
This position is based in San Antonio, TX and will be a mixture of in-person office work and from work from home/remote work. Our preferred candidate should be able to commute to North San Antonio, TX at least three times a week.
Starting compensation for this position ranges from $50,000-$60,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week.

Your Role as an Investigator:

  • Evaluate court records, public documents, open sources, database records and other investigative sources.
  • Conduct Internet Research using open source intelligence (OSINT) to acquire information on relevant person(s) and/or events.
  • Prepare written investigative reports and summaries.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations.
  • Manage full scope pre-employment background investigations from start to finish.
  • Prepare for and perform investigative interviews to collect, verify, and document information.

Desired Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Exceptional reading and writing skills - You will need to analyze and interpret complex reports, synthesize insights from multiple data sources, and produce clear, concise written summary reports to support strategic decision-making on a daily basis.
  • Relevant experience reviewing court record dockets and using investigative OSINT tools.
  • Skilled in examining and interpreting military and law enforcement service records.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for learning new systems quickly, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Confidence and comfort in conducting live interviews and phone calls.
