• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs effectively.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing follow-up care to ensure quality mental health treatment.
• Help determine a patient's appropriate care disposition, coordinating necessary referrals to access higher levels of mental health care.
• Complete essential statistical reports and documentation to track patient outcomes and support compliance with standards of care.
• Facilitate collaboration with the Department of Correction and other institutional programs to ensure that patients have access to appropriate housing and support services.
• Lead group therapy sessions designed for mental health observation units, fostering a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Regularly participate in clinical supervision sessions with your Clinical Supervisor, ensuring continuous professional growth.
• Engage in mental health rounds and actively contribute to case conferences and treatment planning initiatives.
• Possibly conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or student volunteers as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

While entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, experience in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral therapy methodologies will be highly valued.
