Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intakes to perform comprehensive diagnostic and functional evaluations.
• Collaborate with primary care providers to develop individualized treatment goals and plans based on patient needs.
• Deliver focused therapeutic interventions within a structured timeframe, targeting patients in immediate need of mental health services.
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Assist in identifying at-risk patients and develop strategies to prevent the deterioration of their conditions.
• Document all patient interactions and progress in electronic health records accurately and promptly.
• Promote self-management strategies and provide educational resources to empower patients in their treatment journey.
• Maintain adherence to ethical standards as outlined by the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.
• Engage in team collaboration to improve service delivery and care outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse population, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from different backgrounds, which requires cultural competency and an understanding of various psychosocial factors influencing health. Your expertise will be essential in fostering safe spaces for clients to express their concerns and work through adversities.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• A current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License is mandatory.
• Strong familiarity with mental health assessment tools and treatment methodologies, including DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Capacity to work within an interdisciplinary team and establish professional relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
• Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within outpatient settings, particularly in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
• Proficiency in Spanish, though not required, is preferred to enhance communication with a broader patient demographic.
• A thorough understanding of community resources that can be mobilized to support patients outside of clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
