Job description

Placement Type:
Temp to Perm
Salary:
$35-43 Hourly
Start Date:
Jun 22, 2026
Are you a battle-tested eCommerce growth marketer who loves rolling up your sleeves to scale brands from six figures into millions ? If you thrive in the fast-paced, high-ownership world of boutique consumer brands and want a direct, rapid runway into an in-house director seat, Aquent wants to talk to you.
On behalf of our client-a rapidly growing, heritage-inspired Americana men's lifestyle brand specializing in rugged, practical gear and pocket knives-we are seeking an entrepreneurial Paid Media & Influencer Growth Manager . This unique position starts as an execution-focused, part-time contract role designed to master the brand's core customer acquisition loops before seamlessly scaling into a full-time, salaried Marketing Director position within 90 to 120 days .
Position Logistics
  • Title: Paid Media & Influencer Growth Manager (Path to Marketing Director)
  • Location: 100% Remote in the United States
  • Hours: Part-Time (20 hours/week initially), transitioning to full-time (40 hours/week) within 3 to 4 months
  • Pay Rate: $35 - $43/hr; Target salary range upon full-time conversion: $80,000 - $85,000
  • Type of Assignment: Temp-to-Perm (Contract-to-Hire, targeting a 90-120 day transition window for a candidate who is a good fit and hits deliverables)

Your Growth Roadmap & Responsibilities
Phase 1: Paid Digital Media Ownership (20 Hours/Week | Months 1-2)
  • Paid Media Ownership: Directly manage, execute, and optimize Meta (our client's primary engine) and Google Ads. This is a hands-on, daily execution role, not a hands-off strategist position.
  • Performance Economics: Maintain and protect a strict baseline performance threshold of ROAS = 3.0+ while systematically scaling monthly paid revenue and optimizing customer acquisition costs (CAC)
  • Creative Testing Engine: Run continuous, lightning-fast A/B testing across ad formats, UGC hooks, copywriting angles, offers, and landing pages-scaling winners instantly and cutting losers fast .
  • UGC Pipeline Sourcing: Collaborate with our 2-person in-house content creative team to direct daily ad needs, while managing external creators via platforms like Social Cat to maintain a reliable, high-volume UGC asset engine.
  • Data Transparency: Provide weekly operational reporting on channel revenue, CAC, ROAS, and conversion rates directly to ownership with clear, actionable recommendations.

Phase 2: Expanded Digital Channels (30 Hours/Week | Month 3)
  • Owned Marketing Channels: Take full ownership of retention marketing by designing, segmenting, and executing targeted email flows and recurring newsletters.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Diagnose user friction points using website heat maps and behavior analytics to maximize Shopify conversion rates and site efficiency.
  • Influencer & Affiliate Growth: Broaden top-of-funnel reach by formalizing an affiliate network and managing influencer relations beyond basic content generation.

Phase 3: Full Ownership (40 Hours/Week | Month 4+)
  • Department Leadership: Step into the full-time, Marketing Director role, owning the complete marketing ecosystem, budgeting, and overall growth strategy.
  • Wholesale Marketing Strategy: Direct B2B marketing frameworks to scale visibility and sales across emerging wholesale channels and platforms like Faire.com.
  • Publicity & PR Management: Act as the strategic point of contact for our external publicist to capture earned media and amplify brand awareness.
  • Omnichannel Event Support: Help plan, market, and optimize physical footprints and collateral for industry trade shows and offline events.

What You Bring
Must-Haves (Hard Skills)
  • Proven Meta Ads Operator: Deep, practical experience executing and managing high-performing Meta ad accounts with strict profitability targets.
  • Google Ads Proficiency: Working knowledge of Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max channels to effectively support omnichannel acquisition.
  • eCommerce Financial Fluency: Direct understanding of digital marketing economics, including CAC, LTV, contribution margins, and conversion mechanics.
  • UGC Asset Sourcing: Experience in finding, contract-managing, and leveraging external creators specifically for performance ad creatives.
  • Data-First Mindset: Ability to quickly extract meaningful trends from metrics, ignoring surface-level vanity metrics to focus strictly on net revenue impact.

Must-Haves (Soft Skills)
  • The "Builder" DNA: An entrepreneurial mindset that loves building frameworks from scratch, rather than relying on a structured corporate environment.
  • Speed to Execution: A bias for action, continuous experimentation, and quick iteration cycles.
  • Autonomous Accountability: Highly comfortable working 100% remotely without micro-management, holding your own schedule accountable to revenue milestones.
  • Audience Alignment: An intuitive grasp of, or deep appreciation for, a rugged, outdoor, or practical male demographic and authentic vintage Americana design aesthetics .

Nice-to-Haves
  • Agency Background: Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment handling multiple eCommerce clients simultaneously.
  • Shopify & Heat-Map Tools: Hands-on familiarity with the Shopify platform backend and user-behavior mapping software.
  • Klaviyo Competency: Prior experience building high-yield automated email flows and handling advanced segmentation.
