Job description

ABOUT HEATH

For over 90 years, Heath has been the trusted partner of natural gas utilities and energy infrastructure operators across North America. Since 1933, we have designed and manufactured field-proven equipment and delivered specialized services that keep gas distribution systems safe, efficient, and compliant. Headquartered in Houston, TX, and family-owned, Heath brings the stability of a legacy company with the agility of an industry innovator. Our people are our greatest differentiator — and this role is your opportunity to represent that legacy in the field.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Consultant to own and grow our presence across a high-potential Southwest territory spanning Nevada, Utah, Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. In this role, you will be the face of Heath to gas utilities, contractors, and municipal partners — building trust, solving problems, and delivering the full suite of Heath’s products and field services. You will thrive here if you love being in the field, know how to connect with both field-level operators and executive decision-makers, and are motivated by the impact of your own performance. In year one, success looks like a deep understanding of your territory, strong pipeline activity, and meaningful progress on net-new accounts.

Must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) NV, UT, Southern CA, AZ, or NM and live near a major airport.

TERRITORY

This is a field-based, remote role requiring residence within the assigned territory and proximity to a major airport. Candidates must currently live in — or be willing to relocate to — one of the following states:

Nevada, Utah, Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and sell Heath’s full portfolio of products, equipment, and field services to utility clients, contractors, and industry partners across the Southwest territory.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, driving retention, satisfaction, and year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue net-new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, trade association participation, and cold outreach.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored quotes, proposals, and presentations for both field-level contacts and executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless project execution and post-sale support.
  • Represent Heath at industry events, trade shows, and training conferences — and build your personal brand in the natural gas community.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in Salesforce CRM, including activity tracking and pipeline management.
  • Contribute to territory forecasting and budgeting, with monthly reporting to leadership on sales activity and client engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales or business development experience, preferably with technical or industrial products.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the natural gas, utilities, energy, or construction industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of building client relationships and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt to both field-level and executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 90%+, including overnight stays and regular air travel.
  • Must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) NV, UT, Southern CA, AZ, or NM and live near a major airport.

Preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience selling to gas utilities, municipalities, or infrastructure clients.
  • Background in technical product demonstrations or service-based solutions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Total Compensation: $100,000+( Salary +Commission)

Health Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision

Retirement: 401(k) with Company Match

Time Off: PTO + Paid Company Holidays
