Web Developer - Job Description

• Designs, develops, and maintains responsive, user-facing web applications and the APIs and services that support them.

• Translates business and UX requirements into clean, maintainable front-end and back-end code using modern web frameworks.

• Builds and consumes RESTful APIs and integrates web applications with internal systems and third-party services.

• Writes automated tests (unit, integration, and UI) to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.

• Collaborates with designers, product owners, and other developers to plan features, review code, and resolve defects.

• Optimizes applications for performance, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and security best practices.

• Participates in code reviews and follows established coding standards, version control practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Troubleshoots and resolves production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes with minimal disruption.

• Documents application architecture, code, and deployment processes to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

• Stays current on web development trends, tools, and frameworks, recommending improvements where they add business value.

• Provides technical support in response to software development questions or needs, and may occasionally work more than 40 hours per week or evening/night hours to meet critical deadlines.
