Job description

About kWh Analytics
kWh Analytics is insuring the energy transition. We underwrite property insurance and revenue firming products for renewable energy assets. Our proprietary loss database of over $150B of renewables asset value and over $1.5B in loss data supports advanced modeling, insights, and precise risk assessment for renewable energy, mixed energy, and low-carbon projects.
In March 2026, Beazley, a leading specialty insurer, acquired kWh Analytics. Beazley believes that the global energy transition is a significant strategic growth opportunity and is focused on underwriting the complex risks that will enable the transition. kWh Analytics will add scalability and enhance Beazley's capabilities in modelling, underwriting and risk management across renewable energy portfolios.
The Role
We are looking for a full-time Underwriting Support Specialist who is energized by our mission: leveraging data-driven underwriting insights to encourage a resilient, reliable, and rapid transition to a low-carbon economy. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Assistant Underwriters and provide essential administrative underwriting support throughout the policy lifecycle.
This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to kickstart their career in insurance. You will join a supportive team of industry experts dedicated to expanding your knowledge and developing your skills as a future underwriter or underwriting operations professional.

We have offices in many major cities across the country:

  • Managing a high-volume inbox of new requests
  • Ensuring timely and accurate data entry of risk documentation and verifying data integrity across underwriting systems
  • Updating and distributing weekly reports, including exporting data and creating tables and graphs
  • Interacting with cross-functional teams, including Data Science and Compliance, on matters related to accounts within the portfolio
  • Monitoring new submission communications
  • Researching renewable energy technology, equipment, companies, and news
  • Compiling and monitoring stakeholder information so we can maintain key broker and client relationships
  • Basic evaluation of claims and communicating loss history
  • Limited travel may be required

What you likely need to do the job well
